How to use the new Mobile Boarding Pass
Check in on AA.com (or AA.com Mobile). Choose "Email with Mobile Option" and select the appropriate email box for your mobile device. Don't forget, you can also check in from our app and your mobile boarding pass will be stored for you.
Check your email from your mobile device. Follow the link on the email to retrieve your Mobile Boarding Pass.
Save the boarding pass to your device. Click the "Save Boarding Pass" button directly below the barcode to save it to your phone for easy access at the security checkpoint (check your phone/PDA manual to locate where the Boarding Pass will save).
Proceed to Security. When you arrive at security, make sure the entire barcode is visible on the screen of your mobile phone or mobile device and have the backlight setting set to the brightest mode possible. If you have any problems, you will be given the opportunity to print a paper boarding pass at the Self-Service machines.

Create a notification for yourself, friends or family to stay up to date on any American Airlines/American Eagle® flight. Access all your flight information, including gates, times and baggage claim when you're on the go. You will also be alerted on any last minute schedule updates such as gate and flight changes.
You can also choose to receive notifications via text, email or voicemail.

How Does Flight Status Notifications Work?
If you fly often, a quick one-time set up in your AAdvantage® account is all it takes to automatically receive flight status notifications on all of your upcoming flights. Access your flight information, including gates, times and baggage claim when you're on the go. You will also be alerted on any last minute schedule updates such as gate and flight changes.
You can also save up to 10 contacts in your AAdvantage profile to be notified of your flight information via text, email or voicemail. Every time you book a flight, you can set up notifications for up to three of those contacts to automatically receive your flight details such as gate and arrival information.
Plus, you can still always create a one-time flight status notification for friends or family for any American Airlines/American Eagle® flight.

The American Airlines app saves your mobile boarding pass for easy access.
Simply retrieve a reservation for the flight that you already checked in for or retrieve your list of saved boarding passes.
If you are checking bags, show your boarding pass at a Bag Drop position or ticket counter, at the security checkpoint or at your gate prior to boarding the flight.
You can set a parking reminder for existing reservations.
Use your mobile device camera to snap a photo of your parking spot and write a quick note to help you find your car when you return from your trip.
No need to search the airport for terminal maps, now you have them right when you need them.
