Current travel advisories
Some government and public health advisories may affect travel requirements or entry restrictions.
To help reduce the risk of Ebola entering the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is temporarily restricting entry into the U.S. for travelers who have recently been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Travelers who have been in the DRC within 21 days of their flight, including Americans, will not be allowed to board commercial flights to the United States. All U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals who have been in the DRC should plan to remain outside the DRC for 21 days before entering the United States.
U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals who have been present in Uganda or South Sudan (and not present in the DRC) within 21 days of arrival in the United States must enter through designated airports for enhanced screening. Non-U.S. citizens and non-U.S. nationals must remain outside Uganda, South Sudan and the DRC for 21 days before entering the United States.
Travelers can review the CDC's guidance for a list of designated airports and the latest health information about Ebola for those returning to the United States from the DRC, Uganda and South Sudan.
